Intertwined Phenomena, Part II: Symbiosis

is a series of works made in the French Alps, where Edo Verhoeff and I set up this spring our ownresidency.
​Inspired by ancient folktales and local sheep wool being destroyed, we have created sculptures from hand-spun and dyed wool with natural materials. In this way we show that as artists we are the initiative of the self-sufficient; The artist who produces the necessary material with his own hands.
This vision is reflected in the sculptures. They embody the encounter between humans and nature on a symbiotic level, where one cannot survive without the other.
